Sun King is a high-fired, frost resistant stoneware from Vietnam. The beautiful glazes produced in Vietnam are the result of centuries of indigenous ceramic knowledge, migrating Chinese techniques, and the development of modern kilns. Much of Vietnam's pottery is destined for the European market. In fact, much of its production is designed and managed by European companies. New designs are being churned out: some are hits and others are misses. Some firings are successful, others are not. Still others are merely mediocre. Aw Pottery pays a premium to buy only factory firsts. Through experience we have learned that it is more costly to do otherwise.
